The first 3 words that come to mind when I think about why I love my life at Studio Wish are Family, Love, and Connection.

I love a good challenge! Especially one that sparks a fire in me to be strategically creative. “Spoon? There is no spoon.” A pivotal moment in the Matrix movie, one of my favorites, where a mindshift takes place around perceptions and our reality world colliding. In this scene with Neo awareness sets in around choices. We make choices that lead us on a journey filled with an abundance of possibilities. Real life is exactly that, a series of choices that form and create our daily journey. Choice can be a beautiful thing when we realize everything we’ve ever wanted to achieve in life is possible. We just have to believe. “Without Faith there is no such thing as a Wish”.

I am often described as an Innovative Disruptor, Charismatic & Authentic.

I love the environment and support that Studio Wish Salon has to offer. My personal goal is to create a relaxing oasis-type environment for each of my guests. I love that our team works together to make everyone feel warm, welcome, loved and beautiful inside and out!

Awards: Beacon award winner! Beacon is a cosmetology student program with the Professional Beauty Association (PBA). Students compete to win opportunities to be mentored with world-renowned stylists in the industry.
Three words that best describe me: Funny. Strong. Fierce
If I could travel anywhere it would be to hike to Machu Picchu; Australia to dive or snorkel at the Great Barrier Reef; the Mediterranean: to see Rome, Sicily, and Mount Olympus.
My favorite board game is Monopoly: I love the strategy that is required to play and win the game.
My dream cars are the Mercedes-Benz G Wagon or a Porsche Cayenne.

LIKES: Hiking, biking, traveling the world with my family!
WISHES: To see everyone smile or laugh.
DESIRES: 1. To one day own a salon and help young professionals grow in our industry.
2. To have a family and travel the world with them.

I love the educational team I work with as well as our guests. I chose to work at Studio Wish because of the talent I am surrounded by. We are forever students and forever coaches who create beauty around us every single day. Blessed to work with some of the most creative hairdressers who are unified towards one common goal of making a difference each and every day.

If I could travel anywhere it would be to New Zealand to visit the world’s largest waterfall.

What I love best about working at Studio Wish Salon is that we are offered so many continuing education opportunities. We also work so well as a team. Being part of such a great team has been a true game changer for my career. I enjoy creating new looks for guests that sit in my chair with full confidence in how to exceed their expectations.

At Studio Wish I work with professionals that I can learn from while they support me through every new and challenging opportunity. I absolutely love the teamwork and the respect that we all have for one another. I always have fun coming to work with an amazing team helping all our clients feel beautiful. I love the instant gratification of seeing someone’s smile after a transformation whether it’s big or small. Seeing their faces when we have finished our craft is truly rewarding. It’s never just hair. It’s a connection. It’s feel-good therapy.

Three words that best describe me: Outgoing. Motivated. Reliable
If I could travel anywhere in the world it would be Santorini, Greece. As a child I’ve always seen pictures of the beautiful rugged mountains, pristine beaches with crystal clear waters, green valleys and the quiet lakes.
My go-to ice cream flavor is plain vanilla with hot fudge.
My quote I live by, “Life is a string of moments. Create them. Live them. Enjoy them.”

I truly enjoy being part of the Studio Wish family because it has helped me grow not only as a stylist, but also as a happy successful person. The environment in the salon really allows all the stylists to express their own individuality and creativity with a mentorship program that leads everyone on an amazing career journey.

My favorite flavor ice cream is Ben & Jerry’s Phish Food. The little chocolate fish are so good!
My quote to live by, Moira Fowley-Doyle, “Do no harm, but take no shit.” In other words, just be nice to everyone and don’t let others walk all over you.
My favorite social media platform is Instagram (@mckennaj.hair.wish). Instagram allows me to share my creativity and see others’ creativity from all over the world.
